Its nonlinear volt-ampere characteristic is obvious, and it has the upper limit of volt-ampere characteristic and the pre-breakdown zone, which is the safe state of the varistor in the normal circuit. The breakdown area is the state of the rheostat when a voltage greater than the voltage of the rheostat is applied to both ends of the rheostat. The key point of the varistor is the tunneling breakdown electronic conductivity mechanism, which shows excellent nonlinear conductivity characteristics. In the rising region, the relationship between current and voltage is almost linear, and the varistor degrades in this region, losing the consistency of voltage and the characteristics of absorbing or releasing surge.
